Dr. Edwin Opare has over 15 years of working experience in the IT and Telecommunication industry having worked with a number of public and private institutions both locally and internationally. Dr. Opare was instrumental in the setting up of Ghana’s first Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) at the National Information Technology Agency (NITA), as well as setting up Government of Ghana’s first Open Data infrastructure DATA.GOV.GH. Dr. Opare currently serves on the Bank of Ghana’s eCedi External Stakeholder Advisory Group, a group of experts providing thought-leadership on the design, development and implementation of the Bank’s e-Cedi Project. Dr. Opare is also a partner at DSS Associates Ghana LTD, Gold Empire Resources LTD, and MineNCoin Company LTD.
